    L-Body Fuel Tank

    Good Day All,

    Quick little question...

Does the pickup assembly from a CARBED Omni fit in the TBI/Turbo tank? Or is the pickup assembly shaped differently due to the baffling in the TBI/Turbo tanks.

    Thanks

I am not sure if it will physically fit, but a carb'd pickup will not have the hanger for the in-tank EFI fuel pump.

    Thanks Mike,

I would like to install a TBI tank on my carbed GLH to help keep the fuel from sloshing around, but need to make sure the carbed pickup will fit and the fuel level float will read correctly....

    Re: L-Body Fuel Tank

I think the carb type pickup ends up in the same spot in the tank as the TBI and turbo pickups. I would find it hard to believe that the carb pickup doesn't draw fuel from the bottom of the tank like the others.
I just put a Spectra tank in my GLH today. It fits really well and was easy to install.

The G body car's had a pan in the tank for the fuel injection system.
It was talked about in is thread: http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...t=#post1110630

All pre 1990/1991 fuel injection tanks should have this pan.

I spoke with a representative from Spectra Premium who advised the tanks themselves are the same, the fuel injected tanks have a pan (like the Daytona) in the tank where the pickup sits.
