your opinion is required 87 vs 91+ control Arms P boby setup

    Hello,
I am parting out two 91+ P bodies and was thinking of pulling the K frames, cast arms etc and use these to upgrade both my 87 Sundance and CSX.
My concern this is a fair bit of work but is it worth the effort, I understand the 91+ improves the ride quality.

I've done it on an '87 SL and '87 CSX. I would say it was worth it, although I converted them so long ago I really can't give an A/B comparison on ride quality and I did a bunch of other upgrades at the same time. While you're at it, I'd also use the '91+ style of knuckle/hub assembly and possibly the brakes and rack & pinion too. The swap isn't very hard or time consuming at all. Pretty straightforward, although lining up the rack and steering column again can be a pain and you'll have to have the car aligned afterwards.

If you lower the front end the late model knuckles will help restore the arm angle
The later control arms should greatly reduce wheel hop

Dual pivot is way better than the stub strut. IMO it's way better than the stupid rear bushing design on the Neons too.

I believe "opinion" is the word you were looking for...

91-up is definitely worth swapping to. I did it on my '87 Shelby Z and loved it. 89-90 had dual pivot arms but used the old-style swaybar end mounts and rides a bit rougher.

What everyone else has said...Most definitely swap to the dual pivot. I don't anything left stub strut, even those cars i maintain for my family have been converted. You won't regret it.
