    pusher fan

i need a recommendation for a quality pusher fan on my swap. i am currently using this griffin radiator

    http://www.griffinrad.com/load_details7.php?PartID=699&year=All&make=Univers al%20Fit&model=Racer&select_Main_Group=0-400&select_Sub_Group=TR&select_Sub_Group_model=BR& select_Sub_Group_Engine=Manual&select_Sub_Group_Ho rsePower=22x13x3&key_id=2-28185-H

probably something in the 14x14 range. depth can probably be up to 3.5". need to leave room for the intercooler. would like to stay below $125 if possible. i've looked at a number of options from flex-a-lite, summit, jegs, spal, derale, becool, etc but would prefer real world feedback.

Fan works better pulling than pushing. Do you have the space?

AJ and I are sold on the Volvo fans founds in 940 and 960. It pulls much more air than any aftermarket fans we found. Between my friends and I, that fan been put on my Daytona, CSX, Omni, Caravan, K-Wagon, Dakota, 528i, GMC Sierra, etc.

don't have the space unfortunately without a significant redue of the setup. i've got the holset turbo up front which takes up all the room

Unless it can be converted to a pusher it won't help.

yes, although that will be too big i think. i'll need something in the 13-14" range. that googled as a tripac fan. any experience with them? i'm also concerned that some of the fans may draw too much current, although i could always just use a relay.

    Re: pusher fan

I was going to use this on mine, but the guy that sold it to me told me it was a puller. I have not hooked it up. However, the fan motor is heavy. That doesn't guarantee it is good, but it feels like a quality unit. The few reviews I found said they were good.

    Re: pusher fan

BMW's typically have a larger pusher fan...maybe that would work?

    Re: pusher fan

well, i decided just to go with a SPAL fan. didn't really want to spend this much but from the internet feedback appears to be a quality setup. we'll see.
