Let's try this again. I've been going crazy with doing all sorts of house stuff, and it would be just as exhausting to try and explain it all.
I need to go racing. So unless my wife is in the ER, there are virtually no excuses i will accept to not race.

I'm working on the mpscilink aux input test, and hopefully it will be working next week. I'd like to log my EGT and my intake temp.

I'd like to get some seat time at yhe track to prepare for Cecil. Progress has been so miniscule on redoing my cal, i am still on the old one i used at SDAC, but i have tweaked it to remove some fuel, and might need to add back a bit of timing if things look good after a test pass or two.
Also trying to get the boost up a bit more. Would like to leave the line a bit harder, so testing out some increased launch rpm.

Hopefully the changes i test will trim down my 60' and help the ET.

If anyone in the area can go, lets meet up. If you just want to spectate, and you are able to take video, I'd love some more track footage of Mini.

Looks like it should be a decent day weather wise. Should dip into the upper 60's tonight.
So far everything looks good. Giving my battery a charge since i haven't driven Mini since SDAC.
Need to get my cameras set up for some in car video, need to charge my laptop, and prepare a few cal changes to test if all goes well with the first pass. Might add a bit of timing.

Just made a new record pass!
Problem is, no one will ever know!
I talked to the guy at the staging lanes, and he assured me everything was working. Even asked if i wanted 1/4 mile, or 1/8.
I said 1/4.
Launched and i knew it was going to be a good run!
Got my timeslip and DOH! no 1/4 mile info!
My record run was a 8.0009 in the 1/8, and i just went 7.9091 @ 87.50 with my best launch of 1.8491 short time!
Even cut a .5719 light against myself. Not bad i figure for the 3rd time out this year, and first time since SDAC.

Now to have a sandwich and let things cool off. Also need to check my datalog to see if i should add some timing or leave as is.

The tower said the lane is some glitchy, and if i wanted 1/4 i should stay in the right lane.

2nd attempt: good burnout and car really pulled doing the burnout, and wouldn't stop! Shifted to N and rpms were 4000. Cut off and got pushed back out.
After i got my flashlight, could not find a seperated vacuum line, but found throttle was not all the way returned. Flipped throttle and it return to closed.
Going to let cool again and will try again.
Tried WOT several times and can not recreate the sticking.

Just got home.
The last two runs of the night were more of the same, just couldn't gather it up.
Geez, looking at my slips, the only races i won were my Bye runs! I red-lighted twice!
3rd run i think i shiftrd to 2nd early, never saw thr shift light, and i let off before crossing traps!
60': 1.8892
1/8: 7.9898 @ 87.77
1/4: 12.5376 @ 106.53

4th run hot lapped since i was pissed i lifted early and messed up my chance to break my record.
I think i hit overboost cutout (set at 29 psi), or something becausr it sputtered a bit, and because of it i shifted to 2nd.
60': 1.9487
1/8: 8.2206 @ 86.59
1/4: 12.7977 @ 106.26



Well, not sure if i can get back out before Cecil, but i hope so. I need the practice. But all in all, it was not bad, plenty of room to improve. I wish i had not got screwed with no 1/4 time on that first run! That was the new record for Mini.

I took the times for the last half from the 3 runs, 4.5404, 4.5478, 4.5771.
If i add the worst one to the first run 1/8 time i get 12.4862, and if i add the best i get 12.4495. Either way, it should have been a 12.4, oh well. Next time.
