Jessie Buhr's old car. Jessie did the paint and interior work on the vehicle many years ago. That 16V swap sounded like a good idea right up until multiple people figured out all the work that is involved... Search WAY back on this site and you should find a lot more info and pics of the car.

I've already spoken with Tim and Jesse and maybe just as importantly Jackson I can't afford another RedBox build but maybe some of his handiwork

Just curious, if it is running a 568, why do the axles need to be shortened? I thought you only needed to shorten the axles when you use a neon transmission.

Make no mistake... it's worth it . It was then and it is now.

I've been looking for a gold GLH Turbo for a while, but it doesn't look like this ones for me. Looks like a nice car that deserves to be finished.

Preaching to the choir, I did a L-body 16V swap like a dozen years ago... I'll bet the OP might have a differing opinion about worth it or not. Lets review, bought the car around ten years ago from the guy that originally built it after he threw in the towel. Dumped X # of dollars into it. Him and his dad spent a lot of time working bugs out, and fabricating parts for the car. Stored vehicle for about 10 years. Never heard it run, or even got to drive it around the block. Sold it for about the same as the original investment (less all the upgrades he did).
Don't get me wrong, I really like the vehicle, but hardly "worth it" if your looking at it from a financial or hobby point of view. Just another unfinished turbo Mopar project that got aborted/abandoned/parted/etc. Not hardly the first, and sadly won't be the last.

Looks like another 2k of parts to finish it. Hope it gets finished instead of parted out.

Yes, this is the car I started. Its a got fresh paint, new interior, Ramsdell-built 568, etc, etc. It not getting parted out. Alan will finish or have it finished. It was and is a rust-free car. I will be involved in it's completion somehow. Keep your eyes on this site.

As far as shortened axles, not sure why the ad says this. I had the axles figured out.

Sheesh! The world's biggest collection of high horsepower, expensive TDs that, ahem, don't run. Heck of a deal though.

I kind of figured this one would be heading to Wisconsin instead of Cali first...

    Should be an interesting project...

Who is this Alan guy you all are speaking of?

I heard Alan was dead...RIP Alan.

But there's this guy AJ buying up L bodies that looks dead on Alan and even acts like him too!!

But be careful where you park GoldMember, don't get it too close to the RedBox!

I was pretty sad to hear that this year. Alan was a good guy.

Yep, full credit to our man Jackson for the name. GoldBox was summarily rejected as too copycat and since Jackson is always thinking about guy parts anyway, I guess GoldMember was a natural for him
