Does anybody know of an aftermarket roof rack that will fit a Dodge Omni? I've looked around a little, but I'm not sure if there is anything out there that will work with the roof drip rails and wouldn't require cutting/drilling.
My brother owns my old GLH Turbo and wants to put his kayak on top and go fishing with it.
Thule has to make something. I had a basket from them that clamped to the driprail of my 93 Caravan.
I'll have to check their web site again. There's gotta be a universal kit to make this happen.

yeah Thule has an old rain gutter rack. Yakima also. Nothing unique just grab a set for gutters and you're good

Just a thought but how about trying to score a roof rack from a Ford Focus station wagon and adapting one from the boneyard. It might be a good deal cheaper than an aftermarket one.
sportspal canoe I used to have came with four foam blocks
they had a slit in one side and a round hole that passed through the length of each block
they simply fitted in the gunwales of the canoe (sides) and when you fliped the canoe over and placed it on the roof they served as the rack that kept the canoe off the car
they were made from the spongy foam , not the hard stuff and had grouves in the underside to help them grip the roof , dry or wet
you then simply tied the canoe on from each end to the bumpers making a triangle from the canoe to each side of the bumpers
we used them for years and thousands of miles with no issues ever
just be sure the canoe is tied down tight so it can't wiggle around much
fits ANY car ...
