Derp... Top engine harness layed out, laced up and covered. Except one little problem of forgetting the o2 sensor so out came the scissors and cut it all open to lay the addition wires in. Fiberglass wire covering it nice.

Took the grille into work and during my lunch hour and afterhours have been doing more reconstruction with the plasti-fix.

Got a plug machined out to fill in the logic module harness pass through hole in the fire wall. Scraped and dug out all the remains of the seam sealer between the strut tower and fire wall on the passenger side. Ordered more 3M panel bond to reseal everything and strengthen things. Made the decision to hopefully yank the engine & transmission this weekend so I can get beyond the piecemeal pace of progress. Not having the drivetrain in the way I can really attack the engine bay hard and get it up to spec.

Got the engine & trans pulled. It only took all day, reminds me why I hate pulling them. That little bit of the transmission that extends under the frame rail really makes it suck, and I see chrysler welded the mounting bracket to the frame rail vs bolted on the later stuff.

An engine leveler makes that problem a thing of the past in my experience.

True. I think my wingspan is a huge advantage when pulling engines. I can pump away on the engine hoist while moving the engine/trans where I need it with the other. I've got a pretty good system down to do it without removing the hood. It barely clears for me.

This engine still has those POS E-torx bolts on the crank pulley. All four of them were beyond rusty and the socket just stripped them right off. Crank pulley stayed on for the lift out

Other than the cylinder head assuming its not cracked I don't see anything from this engine ever going back into the car. a 2.2 CB with a stock T2 garrett and 3.77 523 is plenty for me.
