Certainly they don't make all that crap themselves. 90% of the vehicles (or more) is outsourced.
But, what is different (or possibly different) is the acceptance criteria for its Quality Control. Mopar may have had a higher spec for manufacturing tolerance. Fitment, or electrical resistance, % error, etc.

Yep. That's the rub. Same deal with AR15 components or pretty much anything else. There are probably companies out there selling the units that were rejected for the Mopar spec.
