    Grassroots Motorsports

If anyone has seen the latest issue, they must have seen John's letter and the article with the Barbie car in it!

Nice letter John, and not a bad article from them about the GTP.

I'm going to use this opportunity to recommend everyone sign up for GRM forums. It's a lot like this place except with a HUGE variety of vehicles involved. Good bunch of people.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

I subscribed two weeks ago and Vigo's right about the forum, knowledgeable posts.

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
    -- Alexis de Tocqueville

"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
    --Ayn Rand

"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."

    Re: Grassroots Motorsports

Lots of people have seen the updated online article on the GTP in today's GRM. For some reason it's not letting me post.

I am trying to give "trackmouse" The new 25k challenge- my blue car vs his Celica , around any race course and drag strip anywhere in USA , both cars driven by the same agreed upon driver.
Lowest overall time wins. Loser pays winner 25k...
Hopefully my post will go through.

Johnny, Vigo or reaper point out to this guy that the other cars in the supercar series were - 911 turbos, lotus espirit, rx-7 calloway twin turbo Corvettes, factory Corvettes , as he says all the IMSA cars must have "sucked"!

Maybe GRM doesn't like my challenge?

Well, that's pretty cool. Hopefully they take you up on it. That would make some news across the interwebs at the least.

    Re: Grassroots Motorsports

I toyed with the idea of going this year, but I couldn't find a cheap enough flight to justify it, given that I would have to take off right away on Sunday and fly in on Friday night to begin with.

Not to mention ZR-1's @ 375hp. I think peeps don't understand about brakes and tires on a road circuit. Sure, a 3500lbs 350hp car may accelerate similar to a 2000lbs 200hp car... but 20 laps @ 10/10ths on a circuit.. the tires and brakes know the difference.
