Iirc most dodges were a din and a half stock. So I'm guessing your asking if someone has cut the dash to make a dd fit?

Then in that case you would have to cut the dash.

Either that, or look into mounting a Nexus as your screen and using a simple 4 channel amp to power the speakers.

Hey Nick! I found a thread over on TD that describes the process of fitting a double din deck into a '91 Daytona: http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f8/...rade-91-a.html

It's not the cleanest install but it works.

    Here's someone that installed a Nexus 7 into a Beamer: https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/com...looks_awesome/

AutoDroid is pretty versatile and can run on any Android device. You might have to get creative with adapters/wiring/modify the tablet to fit.

I've been looking into the nexus set up a fair bit but i will most likely keep the deck in as well :P

Decided I didnt want to hack up my dash for a double din stereo, so made a bracket to hold up my blackbarry playbook. I'll keep working on the bracket and ways to route the wires. I'll post updates as I make more progress.

Used industrial Velcro to hold everything together as I don't want to be drilling holes and ruining the car, regular Velcro will not work or hold up to the car driving.

Nice. Is that just bent sheet metal? I may do something similar with a Windows tablet so I can run mptune and mpscan on it easier than on my bulky laptop

its actually an old external cdrom case

Dad has a dell venue 10 inch tablet with a USB port but i do admit the 10 inch is way to big if you could find one the size of a blackberry playbook it would be perfect

I did take a video of it i'll post it up at some point

I used a RAM suction cup mount to put a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 in my Cherokee. This way by flipping its little suction lever, I can pop it right off.

I did one in my 99 wrangler. Looked very similar to the TD post before I did a little body work to the surround. Now it looks like it came that way from the factory. The 1.5 DIN unit was almost like the one in the TD post and the supports inside the dash are identical. It is off center, but the stock radio is also off center. Never really paid attention until I started the double din install.
