    Turbo oil/coolant line replacement

Quick question since I"ve never done it before. I bought the braided line set from FWP, can these lines be changed with the turbo still in the car? Not sure I can access the fittings to replace them on the turbo with everything still in the car..

This is on an 89 TI Daytona with the Mistu turbo. I'm now convinced my oil leak is from the factory oil line...

Any hints or tricks would be appreciated...

I've done it on a garrett turbo, but I would only suggest doing it with the vendor lines and the head on if you hate yourself. I roll my own these days, and while significantly more expensive, they can be done with the head on pretty easily.

Thanks, kinda what I was thinking. I was looking at the fittings with the mocked-up motor on my engine stand, and it would be tough on there, let alone in the car..

Well, I do have a spare head gasket & head bolt set... Guess I know what I'm doing when I get back from SDAC...

If everything was loose and easily removed Id say go for it. The biggest pain would be working around the head. If anythung you could just pull the turbo off after the fittings are broken free and install them on said turbo. Then have a friend help route them up where they need to go and then complete the install.

    Good luck!
