For sure- Cast iron with a white-opaque aftermarket body.

Saw this car, too. Would sell mine which is not far off of this 1 with 89k for $5500 or a bit less.

Two question marks in my mind -- the heavily-worn plastic shifter knob (20K? Hmmmmm......) and the orange (presumably Fram) oil filter.

Did CSX's get adjustable KONIs in the front?

    Thanks!

Correct, Formula GPs all around. Only the L-body based cars (86 and 87 GLH-S) got Konis from the "Factory"

close up of hood paint looks rough to me for a low mileage car. Not really a bad price though, maybe it sat somewhere that wasn't very protective. The needles on the gauges are still a nice color so it couldn't have been out in the sun much.

    1987 CSX paint condition........

As the original owner of an '87 CSX with only 8310 miles (#305, bought at Frederick Dodge in Boardman, Ohio in January 1991, yes...a FOUR YEAR LEFTOVER), let me tell you about what these Shadows were like at delivery, or even off the truck for that matter!

We're talking 1987 paint standards, and Chrysler stuff was below that of Ford, perhaps at a level (orange peel, blemishes) with General Motors. When the Whittier, Ca. cars were made, they were "put out to pasture" in a large lot behind the facility. The black cars (Omni, Charger GLH-S, Shadow CSX) baked in the sun while there. Add some acid rain. Thus, the car gets soaked, then basks in the heat, and this is repeated over and over. The paint gets "etched." Small water mark markings that make themselves known.

Next step - delivery to dealer and put on the lot. More sun and acid rain. Many of these cars sat UNSOLD FOR OVER A YEAR. Thus, more etching. My Charger GLH-S, which I bought new in September 1988 (#995 at Al Rosso Dodge in Shelby, Ohio) also has the paint issue. Not major on either car, but it's there.

Thus, be careful what you criticize. If you think these things left Whittier with Lexus or Infiniti paint work, you're insane!
