    1984 Dodge Rampage Prospector

I've owned 3 Rampages so far, and of the 3 only 1 was worth restoring. I finally gave away the remaining parts of the silver 82 (thanks Pat), and the maroon 84 was cut up because the rust was so bad. About as bad as the 82. My current project is another 84, black with a 1986 Charger TI engine/transmission and nose swap. This was George Sharp's car in Alabama, and was well worth the trip to see and pick up.

I cannot stress enough if you see a car within driving distance, GO GET IT. "Why are all the cars so far away" should not be in your vocabulary. If it is, you don't want it bad enough; you just want to voice your opinion. I've discovered life is too short for, "its too far away." Anything north of VA (unless garaged, and not winter driven) is a roll of the dice when it comes to rust. My 82 was "repaired" with stop signs and a cavalier trunk, and extremely poorly. Badly enough that if I were t-boned in either car it would have folded immediately in half. 1" square tubing tacked to sheet metal and sealed with liquid nails is not a proper floor replacement, and unsafe period. /soapbox

So what I have now is a solid car with great southern floors, just needs the typical seam sealer replacement that all L bodies do.

So for this month in no particular order:
    • newly built 8V head
    • my 10 year old GT3071R finally put to use on a TU header and 3" swingvalve
    • plumb intercooler
    • 3" side exit exhaust
    • full polyurethane bushings, front and rear swaybar (thanks Johnny)
    • new 1" lower de-arched leafs
    • some paint on the tailgate
    • remove and replace interior seam sealer
    • bedliner on the interior
