    Help with head mounted dizzy

Back to work on my hybrid. I'm using a Rich Bryant modified distributor and mounting plate. I've 180'd the HEP, swapped HEP connectors, and swapped cylinders 2 and 3. It runs but cylinders 1 and 4 are misfiring. With spark plug wires 1 and 4 swapped all cylinders fire but wont idle and breaks up under any load. The picture is of the first setup, with the engine at TDC the rotor is pointed at cylinder 1. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help!

Looks like you've got the wires on backwards. Should be counterclockwise from 1.

I thought when using the modded distributor everything else stayed the same. Am I wrong on that?

I think Pat's right. The distributor is spinning backwards, but the engine firing order stays the same, so you'd have to move the wires on the dizzy to compensate.

Thanks for the replies. According to turbovanman, cylinders 2 and 3 need swapped. If I leave them in the correct reverse order it won't run at all.
