Radiator Fan - which to choose?

    Hey guys!

I need some help deciding on an aftermarket radiator fan. A few years back I replaced the stock radiator with a Honda Dual Core Aluminum radiator (was the popular mod at the time) and have been using the supplied cooling fan for a few years.

That little fan BAAAARELY does the job, however, and summer is right around the corner. The car would always run a bit warmer than I'd like during the hot season.

What electric fan should I be looking for as an upgrade? Is there a reputable fan that has been trustworthy as an aftermarket option? I've been looking around and there is a plethora of fan options, with a very wide price range, and they all "look" to be comparable to each other.

    Thanks guys!
    Zach

I had good luck with both Hayden and Flex-A-Lite.

I was liking spal and they have a 12" blade that moves over 1400cfm with good static pressure ratings. However, I actually decided to go with an eBay shroud/fan combo fornmy aftermarket radiator. Should be a direct bolt on and if the fan is worthless, I'll swap it out. I figure a shroud is really what's needed to maximize my cooling efficiency

Do yourself a favor and get a shroud also. You also need to make sure you block off the areas on the side of the radiator so air has nowhere to go but through it.

Lol I just read your last post about getting a shroud so never mind that bit.

Haha yeah, I came to that conclusion. Should have my new shroud in a week, food to go for the warm season =]
