    fan switch

I have installed a manual overide switch for my cooling fan because according to the temp gauge, fan doesn't kick on until 3/4 or better and cycles off after a minute or so. When a kick the fan on with the switch, i experience a voltage sag according to the voltmeter. will go down below half on the guage then slowly rise back up to normal..car doesn't really do anything wierd, plus blinkers make the volt gauge tick quite a bit..any suggestions??? i've checked the grounds and all seem secure.

Mine does the same thing with a manual fan switch. Im pretty sure it is normal. OR your alternator could not be producing enough juice. Could also be a flaky stock gauge
