They look better without it and it's a more natural transition to the bed rails. Just this man's opinion...

Please be more specific Mr. DodgeZ. Are you talking about the flexible plastic filler that surrounds the top and both sides of the glass or the metal plate that finishes it off that is about 3"s top to bottom and runs the length of the bottom of the glass? Or are we talking about the pieces that finish the top rear edge of the roof and continue down both cab extensions that blend into the side bed rails? Something in my questions here more then likely covers your inquiry?
If it's the rubber T shaped trim that covers the gap between the glass & body, go to JC Whitney and order front windshield trim for an 87 Dakota. It is slightly wider than the original, but works well, and looks very good. Part number is WFS999.
This what I used on my Scamp, and it worked very well.
Does this look right?

The one i just got is missing that too, but it seems to look good without it. I dont really even know what it's supposed to look like.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
The piece around the rear glass.
I don't have any extra L-body stuff. User 1983Rampage is parting out an early 2dr in Austin, and i am going up there next weekend to get some stuff. Maybe try him.
