I was told by a buddy about a post that may have had a charger glhs oil plaque in it, posted I think in the past two weeks, I can't find it. Can anyone please help, I need that plaque for my car and to get some reproductions made for others that need them too.
I think SDAC sells them still?
No, SDAC doesn't sell Charger GLHS plaques just Shelby GLHS plaques. I'm not looking for suggestions on where to get one, just need help finding the post in the parts for sale forum that had one listed please.
I'm confused. Shelby was the only one to make a GLHS. The 86 was based off of the Omni and the 87 was based off of the Charger. I don't believe that the Shelby Charger nor any non-numbered Shelby received a Mobil 1 plaque of any kind. Are you suggesting that there was a difference between the 86 and 87 S car plaques?
Yes, there is. There was a Mobil 1 plaque for the 87 Charger GLHS also. But it was introduced later in the model year. Early Charger GLHS models had the 86 plaque (100 or so, maybe even 200 or so of them).
So either plaque is valid for use on the Charger GLHS as they came with either of them installed. Some folks prefer the Charger GLHS plaque though, as they feel it is more correct.
To the original poster, I recall a thread where someone was going to have more of the Charger GLHS plaques made (professional copies), and I believe they did. But the thread is at least a couple years old, and I don't recall exactly where it is. The search function on here is next to useless at times.

Thanks Barry. I knew that there was a difference between some of the models, but I wasn't sure if there was a difference between the S cars.
To Barry, I know OF that person, but my buddy had informed me of a new post he had seen within the last week or so.
