Fayetteville, NC racing Fri 4/8/16?

Going to try to shoot for racing next Friday, 4/8 at Fayetteville Motorsports Park. Temp look ahead looks like we may have some cooler temps, only a high of 59F. Racing temps in the evening could get pretty nice.
Still need to work on PumpEffTbl, but seems pretty safe right now. Might even set the boost up a bit, if all looks good.
Still have not modded my 1g talon bov, so will be keeping boost to at or below 20psi.
Plan would be to test at previous boost levels, and to try to check/tweak PumpEffTbl.

I'm not gonna be in Fayetteville but I am gonna try and get that 11second slip in the Rampage RT that I failed so miserably at in Vegas three weekends ago. Fontana raceway has the every 6 week or so street legal drags on Saturday the 9th

I won't be so bold as to say i am shooting for 11's on friday! But, it would be nice to see another mid 12 follow-up to the previous best. I want to try and match boost levels and gauge any improvement from recent changes.
I really need some full run logs to ensure everything is good. First pass is planned for minimum boost, 9-10psi.
Any predictions?

I may as well been racing on ice.
2.35 60' to a crappy 13.9 @101.
But it spun so badly, then hooked after i hit 2nd but rpms were too low by then.
It is busy, don't know how many runs i'll get. Hope next one is better.

Well, it wasn't exactly the fun i was expecting. I left late and then i felt rushed. The shakedown was lousy, but my 2nd and only other run was better, but still not what i expected. I need to do some comparisons of some of the older runs. But, the G8 that was running before me blew his tranny and oiled down the track.
It wasn't until after midnight i finally got that 2nd run in, and then i just didn't have the motivation to get in the long staging lanes again. So i started changing tires and packing up. I was finishing up right as they shutdown at about 0130.
I did cut a decent light (against myself. Lol!) And had a better launch. Need to look back at log, but this was about 17psi.


I need to go through my GoPro and view the run. My other dashcam i forgot to turn back on after the oildown.
I'll try uploading to youtube. My other test video never uploaded the other day.

Oh, and one of those RX8 was leaving just as i was. I saw him pull over by the exit and as i was driving up he was just about hanging out of his window as i drove by and could see him all excited and pointing at Mini. He ended up gollowing me out and onto the highway. I blew a little carbon out as i merged onto the highway to get around someone. He caught up and pull alongside and his buddy was all motioning wanting to try a highway pull. I gave it a little at low boost, but he wanted to have a go. So i gave him the chance and when he hit it, so did i (but on the 17psi setting, and in 2nd). He got dusted quickly, and just couldn't hang with a big fat boxy van, on the highway. Too bad, it was a shame something so curvey and slippery in the wind just couldn't keep up with a minivan...
He caught back up after i set the cruise, and wanted to go again, to what point, i don't know. So i motioned i was done. They seemed pretty happy to be beaten by a 27 year old minivan...

It made the fact of being there so long to only get 2 runs a bit worthwhile.
Mini got lots of attention. Several folks stopped over to talk and look. Lots of the younger crowd weren't even aware they had made turbo minivans.

Also have the datalogs of the 2 runs.
Average boost on 1st run was 15psi. Slicks 16psi,
Average boost on 2nd run 15.7psi. Slicks 14psi
I meant to make a bit more boost the 2nd run, but did not move the g-valve enough.

So, I guess looking at the data now, I am pretty happy with the run considering it was such low boost. If i only wouldn't have shifted too early to 3rd, it might have been in the 12's that run.
I was at 1/4 tank of 93 and added 2 gals of 112 at the track.
