I'm having a really screwy idle problem with my Neon, and it seems like it's in the PCM. Any of you with a DRB-III, or at least access to one, can you tell me if target idle RPM is a parameter that can be read?
Randomly, I'll be driving along and I'll get an unsettling "automatic-y" feeling where I let off the gas, but the car is still applying a small bit of power to the wheels. Pressing the clutch in, I'll get somewhere between a 2k-3krpm idle. When I come to a stop, the engine will slowly idle down, eventually getting to a normal idle. Once I take off again, the same thing happens. Here's why I think it's in the PCM: if I turn the ignition off for a second or so while the car is in gear and in motion (momentum keeping the engine turning), then turn it back on, the problem is gone. This is also the case if I shut the engine off and restart the car.
I've already removed and cleaned the IAC, as well as checking the wiring to it.
