Question about MBC on 91 Spirit R/T

In order to use a manual boost controller on a 91 Spirit R/T does the vacuum line from the solenoid need to be disconnected or can the MBC be run in line from the solenoid to the waste gate actuator? I'm just looking to fine tune my boost. Car is on stock tune and injectors.
    Thanks.

Bypass the solenoid. Install the boost controller inline between the compressor housing and waste gate actuator.
