19luis8510 - For those rare parts from the deep South!

I snuck in on Luis' "All-Metal TIII Radiator" thread and asked him if he could get some of the Phantom specific ATC parts. By all rights, he could have just completely ignored me like all the other people I asked, but he stuck his neck out and helped me get 3 of the MOST RARE parts for the system.

A bit of an explanation may be necessary. I am known (sort of) for having installed the ATC system out of a Chrysler Imperial into my (now written off) '91 Daytona Shelby. This thread (and others) circa 2007:

Well, thanks to Luis, I finally have the Phantom specific parts that make this system look like it's supposed to be there!

He even tried to get an in-car thermistor/aspirator that is also specific to the Phantom, but the guy he was dealing with went "car jerk". But, seeing as though this is a part that's behind the dash and is not in the line of sight, I figured it wasn't a big deal, and I could just rig something up from Imperial parts.

I've spent many years looking for these parts. Not being able to speak Spanish was a severe hindrance.

So, a big thanks to Luis for the leg work, time and effort in bringing these parts home. MUCH APPRECIATED! He was very responsive, reasonable and agreeable! He really went the extra mile.

    Later,
    Jeff

Expect to see a Daytona rocking this setup again in the not-too-distant future.....

Sometimes it's the small custom touches that no one else would notice that bring the most driving satisfaction I know if you hadn't have pointed out the unobtainalble temp controls, I wouldn't notice
