Hello everyone I can't get the idea of putting a 12 valve Cummins into my old 79 d250 two wheels drive. The 79 is a four speed is there anyway I could keep that tranny and bolt it to the diesel. Also any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The diesel has a unique bellhousing. the 5 speed that came behind the 12v would be either a getrag g360 or an NV4500. I am guessing you have the np435?
