Fuel treatment new kids on the block.. K100

A rep stopped by and gave us the sales demo.. The same demo deal is on youtube. The stabil and others did not mix with water, while the K100 did. Guy says the water/K100 mix is combustible. Did not get any samples yet to play with, but he says he is sending me some.

Anybody used this stuff to treat contaminated fuel? Googling them it seems like snow sled guys and watercraft guys are the early adopters. The rep claims it is an enzyme and non petrochemical, and that it boost octane back up in fuel where the ethanol has separated from the gasoline. Also says it will not harm plastic rubber or any gasket material. Made/packaged/everything in USA too.

And searched up this 18 month "independent" test with suspiciously familiar looking bottles:

Got samples to screw around with. Will mix up a 50/50 batch with water and try to light it. Maybe a 40/60 too. Any other tests you would like see, I can try it..

Sounds alot liek traditional gas line anti-freeze. Like HEET or DryGas, which are basically just methyl alcohol.

They say it wont harm any rubbers or plastics like alcohol does.. I will soak some little pieces in it and see what happens.

Not sure it's actually a great outcome, just keeps the water spread put in the tank. Our pump socks evils be cleaning the bottom off constantly. Wonder what Lucas ethanol treatment does.

Years back I worked at an Quick Lube shop. We had a supplier come in and do a demonstration on their fuel system treatment and compare it to what we used at the time. They put fuel and colored water into a vial and added their fuel treatment and it completely dissolved the water, while ours didn't. Sold me on it.

    From their website:
It is a concentrated formula designed to clean the entire FUEL SYSTEM. This formula removes moisture from the fuel system by suspending water and fuel together and removing the water through the combustion process. It dissolves carbon deposits, gums, and varnishes.

They claim it "encapsulates" the water. What that means I have no idea. He had some chemical water detector and it did not detect water in the 50/50 mix of water/K100. It did detect water in the others. The link with the 18 month test has zero rust on the steel screw.. I might give that same test a try. Well, maybe not 18 months.

It combines with the water, which allows it to be mixed with the gas and burned instead of sticking to the top of the tank.
