Since i didn't get a chance to have my CSX at SDAC this year I ended up getting it tI the track about 4 times this summer. I managed to get almost 120 passes on it actually. I plan on getting a better fuel system on it next spring with some better tuning as the +40s and 4-10 gph methanol nozzles r just not cutting it. Running it on its low boost setting (18psi) on pump gas it runs 12.4s @114ish pretty consistently. On high boost with meth the short times r terrible and between shifts the meth causes a hiccup and loses time there too. The best run on high boost was a 11.6x @ 124ish with a 1.8x 60 but I can't find that slip. Best mph was. 133.7 with even more boost but the Et sucked on that one. Here is the 2nd fastest run of the summer and the slip for it.

According to the list, it looks like Corby has it with a 1.729!
Of course that is just the lowest one on the list. He might even have cut a better one than that.
Terry and Joe were both at 1.8's
Something to shoot for! Anything in the 1.7's would be a new record for me. 1.81 is my best so far.

I think lowering the front of yours would help some.My best was a 1.85 back up with a 1.86 on 14 year old slicks with a stick of course.I thought about switching back to auto or Ill just get the black one rolling since it has a auto.

I'm sure that would help tremendously. The helper springs with airbags that Gus used to stiffen the rear no longer have the airbags. They have crumbled apart.
I have Rancho 9000 series shocks though, and race with them on the firmest setting. But, i think it is less about having rear being compressed, and more about the front raising on launch.
That best run does look like she is plowing through, like a boat with an outboard motor! Lowering a bit might be the big thing for next season.

Update for my wife, Teri Skrab
Went to Cecil for the fall invasion day to test a little theory, and try some bigger slicks on her Spirit RT. Well my hunch of the car being over octaned, and the car really liked the larger tire. She bested her previous personal record with the car by a half second, and picked up a few MPH.
Changes to the car from the last update, the car is sporting a 3.77 geared A523 with a quaife. Along with the bigger slicks, Mickey Thompson 24.5x8x15s.

EXCELLENT!!! Congrats Teri! We saw it coming at DW and you made it to the 12's! knocked a half second off previous best!

AWESOME!!! Great work despite the issues! Welcome to the 11's! Our first 11 second 89 CSX! Fuel... traction... I see some quicker runs coming!

Thanks JT! I speculated that, but someone else would have to confirm. My impression was the best non-NOS pass was an 11.9x

I'm going to try again tomorrow, so it might not matter!

We made our last trip of the year, car is running well. Teri had another track day a multiple improvements. PB on ET(12.59), MPH(110.25-twice), and 60ft(1.67- twice but missed 3rd)
The these runs were made with max boost at 20psi.
She also made 17passes, 13 of them in the 12s.
We learned some things, and have a direction for a couple small changes for next season.

Good to see some end of the year timeslips stacking up. The only passes I made were at an untimed no prep event so the glory passes were just that.
