Looking for 87 CSX coolant recovery tank

Looking for 87 CSX coolant recovery tank. Believe part # is 4467463. LMK what you got. Would prefer with cap and hoses but is not a deal breaker.

I believe Gary just went through this. IIRC it's the same on used in the full size vans? It's in his thread for sure.

The cap is, the tank is unique.

If original is not important I'd mod a late 87 or 88 tank.

Thanks for the correction. What's different about the tank? Modified to allow for the TII style rad/IC? Is the 89 tank CSX specific?

    Yeah Gary,
My 88 CSX-T tank is cracked about half way up, otherwise I would modify that one to work. Cordes you got it, they shaved the inlet off on the 87 CSX overflow and ran it through the cap.

In a pinch, there's several two-part plastic epoxies on the market that may seal the crack. I've never tried any on something that holds liquids yet, but I've had good luck fixing several broken spots in the structure of my Charger's dash and even the notoriously fragile interior door handles in my Daytona. If the tanks are the same type of plastic we used when I worked at Snyder Industries (and I'm fairly sure they are), they should be made from polyolefin. So search for something that specifically works for that.

Theoretically, they could even be welded if you have a very small tip for an oxy-acetylene torch and another bottle (or even a milk jug) to cut a strip off for filler rod, although years of chemical and environmental contamination would probably make that more trouble than it's worth.

Thanks for the info. Yes I do have some tiny tips for my oxy/acet. torch. May need to try that if I can't find one.

4467463 have them NOS. they are unique to the 87 Shelby. 85.00 plus shipping w/o the cap. The cap is the same as a full size Dodge van 1980-96 and has openings for 2 hoses. Have those too.
