charge temp sensor, does it mater ?

so i'm installing an intercooler on my 92 T1 spirit its pretty cold out and i drive this car everyday, its still on stock computer controlled boost 8psi. so i'm wondering will there be a problem with it not haveing a charge temp sensor in the intake or if there is a way i can add one without haveing to get a cal done, will the stock calibration recognize if there is a sensor added ? im pretty sure it wont

If you add an intercooler you will need a charge air sensor and yes you will need an updated calibration

I'm running a T1 cal on a TII car as it's the only cal the car likes for some reason.

88-92 TI cal will NOT recognize a charge air sensor if installed, it defaults to 70F.

In cold weather this will cause EGT to shoot through the roof on an intercooler equipped car.. the computer has no idea what the air density is. On the non-intercooled application is not as important since the air out a mitsu turbo is always fairly warm and stays that way with no intercooler.

Wow that does suck. For some reason this car will NOT idle with a tII cal.
