Anyone replace their fuel lines and what did you use? Mine haven't necessarily had any fuel through them but they're still 25+ years old so I think I'm going to replace them regardless. I was thinking of just replacing it with the Gates Barricade Greenshield fuel injection hose.

I used fuel injection hose, think it was from NAPA.

I replaced all of the hose in my car, vac lines included, cheap insurance.
All of the fuel lines were cracking, the rubber section in the turbo oil feed line pulled out of the crimp, the turbo drain back hose had a bubble inside it so bad that it was blocking more than half of the opening.
Make sure it's fuel injection hose for the fuel lines and oil rated if for oil. I know that should be a no brainer, but I had the guy behind the parts counter try to give me heater hose for the turbo drain back, said it would work fine....nope. It'll work in a pinch but will break down VERY quickly.
Napa had the right hose in stock.

Yes I'll definitely use fuel injection hose. The engine is new and there has never been any gas through the lines but I don't feel safe with 25 year old lines. I'm probably going to order 15' of gates barricade green shield hose. It's about $3 a foot on amazon or eBay. 225 psi working pressure and safe with ethanol. $5 a foot at the parts stores.

I talked to a guy I work with that does fiberglass and he said it should be pretty easy to make a mold of that bumper. I'll send you a PM and we can figure out getting it up to WI so I can make a mold.

It's getting shorter but still pretty long.
Off the top of my head
    1. Correct rear bumper. I have a series 2 one but need a series 1
    2. Correct spoiler. I have a short rear spoiler, need a long one. The plan is to modify the short one to cover the radiator
    3. Rear calipers / rotors
    4. Gauges
    5. Seats and pretty much the whole interior. I like the seats johnny got so I may get a set of those. Short of covering the dash the reset of the interior should be pretty easy.
    6. Wiper arm
    7. Fuel tank - I have dimensions just need to build
    8. Steering wheel- has a dodge wheel of some sort, need to find a better aftermarket one eventually
    9. headlight mounts - In process
    10. Coolant pressure tank - In Process
    11. Probably some hvac stuff like vents and maybe some of the knobs. I'll probably get to that when I get and install the gauges.
    12. Engine cover hinges. Should be easy to modify any random store bought hinge. Just haven't looked at it yet.

I'm sure there's some other random pieces but that's the major stuff.

Got my coolant expansion tank today. Should be the last component needed to finish the cooling system

Engine cover hinges are different from coupe to roadster / targa. The coupe has RX-7 rear glass hinges and Aaron's targa has what look to be very similar to stuff used in the boating world. 2 holes on the car, 3 holes on the cover.

For the A/C stuff. A company named Danhard inc still sells just about all of it and of the part numbers don't come up on their site, they had the items just with different part numbers.

I don't think so. Due to the fact that the parts list shows the individual hose parts, I believe they either built in house or built locally ( but if that were the case they should have just bought the parts locally )

I have these hinges that were on a spare series 1 engine cover.

The other piece is the finger pull or whatever you want to call the thing you use to lift the cover

There are actually a few different ones available online for relatively reasonable prices. Some less than $10 for the pair shipped. Granted they're from china so who knows what the quality is.

Can anyone tell me where the coolant line that exits the side of the expansion tank goes? I have the line that goes back to the overflow out of the filler neck and the one that goes to the larger fitting in the back of the tank down to the distribution block but can't find any other coolant hoses?

Pretty sure that one goes all the way back to the passenger side of the radiator, there is a little fitting on the top passenger side of the end tank...is your car the same???? who knows LOL

    Re: Finally Starting on #53

OK, that's what I was thinking but my radiator has a pet---- installed in it. That will be easy enough to remove. I'm assuming this is to help bleed out air? To me it seems like coming out of the top of the thermostat housing directly into the tank instead of down to the junction point would make more sense to bleed air. Has anyone had issues bleeding air. I'll drill a hole in the T-Stat like normal. Anything else to look out for? I'm guessing around a -4 hose or so?
