    High Boost using MPTune

This question really goes out to Shelgame and Wowzer,
Last year at the end of the season, I finally got my 92 Daytona IROC R/T TIII SBECII switched over to E85. I switched from a GM 3 bar map sensor to an Omnipower 4 bar sensor. Everything else is there for high boost.
The issue I am running into is I can not get the ECU controlled boost control to set a target above 29.4 PSI as shown in MPScan. I can take all of the boost target tables and max them out, the car will not pull more than 29.4 PSI. I am not sure what needs to be adjusted in MPTune to allow this, but I can not be the only person ready to start boosting above 30PSI on the stock electronics. I have the motor and fuel there to really start pushing my car, but the computer is limiting me. I can perform any tests needed to help, the car is fully operational. Right after an ECU flash the car will pull 30+ PSI, but as soon as the computer sees this, it starts adjusting the waste gate tables to limit it back down to 29. The stock control is really good and soild!
    Thanks in Advance.

You have to also set the WG Duty Cycle tables. My guess is that they max out at ~30psi. In order to run computer controlled boost higher, you'll probably have to do some tweaking to the WG plumbing.

That is possible, but in my experience, what ever the boost target in MPScan shows, that is the value the car will hold for boost, I can not get this value in MPScan to show anything higher than 29.4 PSI, which is the limit of a 3 bar map sensor. If it is not possible to get the computer to control above this threshold, I will have no choice but to go to manual boost control, I know my plumbing and lines can handle higher boost.

    Re: High Boost using MPTune

It's not a question of whether the lines can hold 30+ psi. But, if the length/diameter can control it. The size of the solenoid also comes into play. I would be surprised if the stock solenoid can control the boost at 30+psi.

The MP Scan issue is different. I think there's a 4-bar MAP setting for MP Scan?

I can never get the boost control to work correctly in MPtuner.

if you scaled your cal to 4 bar in mptune then you need to select the MAP4BAR gauge setting in mpscan. if it does not show up for you make sure you download the latest layout files in mpscan

I have my MAP scaled properly in MPTune, I also am using the 4 bar map gauge in MPScan and that is accurate, my issue is with the boost target gauge in MPScan, I will send a screen shot later to explain this.
I will say the ECU has no issues maintaining 24 PSI and 29 PSI, what I am running into is the ECU will not allow any control above 29.4PSI. I will send some screenshots to help explain this later.

I think that's just a gauge scaling issue.

Scaling issue with the boost control target, is this something I can tweak or will you have to do it?

    Re: High Boost using MPTune

you must have already adjusted the BSTT gauge before since i show the default values are only for a 2bar (-14.7 to 14.7). for now you would need to edit the gauge settings for 3bar (-14.7 to 29.4) or 4bar (-14.7 to 44.1). i'll add these gauges into the default layouts for future use.

    ****edit****
just added gauges bstt3br and bstt4br to the mprxref.csv and mprsettings.csv files. please download them thru mpscan.

DoubleD are you saying there is no way to select a target of higher than 29.4?

I'm pretty sure he was only referencing that MP Scan would not show the target any higher than 29.4psi. That was just a gauge setting issue that Morris fixed (as referenced above).
