Hard points; towing; winching; jack points; tow hooks for the track; etc..

I read through that manual copy specifically looking for this type of information and found nothing in there. Anybody have any experiences or advice to share? I'm assuming Jacob's track car has tow hooks mounted somehow, either bolted or ?

I'd bet that the front one is bolted to the front suspension subframe and pokes out the front....have a look at the hammerhead car on the Mosler Redux page. It pokes out just below the passnger front turn signal.

Based on where the subframe is, it'd have to be really long to clear the front end...give me a few min to measure, I have mine here at work with me. ok, that front tow hook would be almost 28 inches long to extend past the front of the car if it's bolted to the front subframe.

As for the rear, hmm, I'll have to look and think about that. Does your car have a rear diffuser? That would make a big difference on placement.

The jack points are just behind the front wheel and just in front of the rear wheel, based on the rubber padded jack that came with my car and scuffs to the underside. For the rear I tend to lift on the engine cradle instead of having the engine hanging from the body whilst up in the air. and yes, it is a pain to pull the belly pans just to have a decent jack point just to pull a tire, but if it's gonna be off the ground for any length of time that's what I do.

I think the front tow hook just bolts to the front clam shell. Big washers and a sandwich plate. Dont remember it going to subframe.

I put a wide block off wood on jack before jacking it up , hopefully spreading the load. And swap tires and stuff that way. Any longer job, and I go to subframe.

Looks like they are sitting on warehouse racks. Pic take from underneath. The corrugated wall panels are actually vertical i imagine.

Ah the beauty of a car weighing the same as a 1 ton pallet!
