I'm putting together a plan for the van. I have a 1989 Mopar Performance TI Auto SMEC ready to transfer to a van SMEC case.

Later on down the road after I sort out anything that needs sorting, I'll replace the top end with a mildly ported swirl head, Garrett TII turbo along with a ported exhaust manifold and 3 inch exhaust. I have yet to decide on intakes. I have one and two piece intakes to choose from. Some form of intercooler needs to go in there too.

I'm not looking to build the fastest van around, I just have to keep the neighbor kid's WRX in check.
For the 90 Mini I used to have I had two DSM coolers welded together and moved the A/C condenser over in front of the rad, and put the intercooler in the condenser's stock location. Fit really nice and worked well.

I picked up the van today. It made the 360 mile trip without any issues.

Here's a photo from the one gas stop I had to make.

Did Voyagers ever come with snowflakes or did PO add those with the boost gauge etc?

    Re: Turbo Minivan Wanted

First of all I have to thank my wife, because she bought the van for me. Thanks babe, you're the best!

Nothing too exciting happened on the road other than my Garmin wanting to take the long way all the time.
I passed a lot of windmills in northern Indiana and drove through a light snow storm. Heavy winds and old struts and shocks made staying in one lane a challenge at times. I have new parts on the way and need to decide on what tires I want.

Fuel economy was 20 mpg. That was going an average speed of 65, turning around 3000 rpm.

I think the LX model Voyagers came with snowflake wheels as an option from what I've seen online.

    Here's some more photos:

Lots of LX specific body trim, looks like yours is all good.

My door sticker says 14" wheels but my Chrysler option sheet listed the 15" lace wheels.

They must have been a late decision as all previous mini van 15" wheels were 5 on 4 1/2", mine are 5 on 100 mm

Curious what your door sticker says??

    Thanks

I thought this was the more accepting group of Mopar fans...

There's no sticker with my van so all I can say is there's snowflakes on my Voyager, so I believe there are snowflakes on my Voyager.

I'm happy it doesn't have 14 inch steelies.

    Re: Turbo Minivan Wanted

You should be able to take the vin to the dealer and have them print you the build order.
I did this with some cars.

The door jamb sticker is virtually useless on all Chryslers from the 80s and 90s. The vast majority of them are just the base model wheel sticker. I worked in tires for 7 years and came to know very quickly that a Chrysler product with the proper sticker in the jamb is an exception to the rule.

Don't get the idea that I'm hating on the Snowflakes, I've just don't remember seeing a Voyager equipped that way back when they were new. I can't see the seats in your pics but Im betting you have the high line 'pillow top' seats like and LX's and ES's do. AFAIK, they were specific to those two trim packages.

Very happy with the new tires on MeanMini. General tire was the lightest in the size i was looking 215/60R15. I wanted a bit more height to help the high stall converter on the street. Cruises perfect on highway and managed 22mpg.
Rims are 15x7. Tires I'll have to look i think was RT43 or something like that.

Picked up this $60 ebay one for mine, ran 17 PSI through it NP. No problems with AC or anything.
