    Turbonetics Hurricane "Erin"

Has anyone ever looked into these Hurricane Series turbos from Turbonetics, specifically the one called "Erin"? They say they are designed for smaller displacement engines that run higher psi. But if I'm looking at just wheel size than the Erin turbo would be a 66/62 which sounds way to big for our engines, (been told precision 5858 is a awesome size) but if there is some sort of wheel design that helps with spool than maybe I could still spool it using the brakes and still make full boost by 4000 rpms. I know driving on the street would be pretty much useless, but thinking more track, since that's where the van is driven most.

Unfortunately it wouldn't be the ball bearing turbo, as those are more expensive and I am working with a limited budget.

IIRC 5858 is comparable size to the Holsets so it makes sense it would work well on our engines. I'll delete the thread if *YOU* want. It's not like it's bothering anyone.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

Well guess we can leave it for reference, and google is now pulling it up so it might help someone down the line find the link from 2012
