SDAC 27? If you put in 45 or 50 12 hour days on BlueBalls you can make it to 26 in it! Get busy

Grinding aluminum is no problem, grinding on cast iron like exhaust manifolds is a lil worse but grinding on steel-especially stainless is a nightmare! Not only is it super hard to grind but those slivers are sharper than razors. I have developed a technique that works, I wear flip flops. If you wear shoes they just load up with the little dangerous shards, and don't even think about wearing socks because that pair is garbage afterwards! With the flips your feet are covered with the material but before you walk anywhere are drive those daggers into the bottoms of your feet, I brush them off with a shop rag. Usually a couple find there way in anyway so I dig them out by dragging a surgical scalpel across my skin. It grabs the edge of the splinter and drags it out. IT's all about technique

Thanks for the tip. I do the flip flops already, but I'll start to do the razor deal too. The last time I wore shoes it was insane.

So the game plan Alan is to drive it from Jackson's place in WI to Memphis? And if so, then what, drive it home to SoCal or store it till next SDAC?

Knowing Alan, Jackson will drive it to sdac and Alan will meet him there with the NOS. The he will fly Jackson back to WI first class on Emirates.

LOLZ, If you spend five figures on an Omni, you wanna drive it( why am I telling you, *you* have the worlds most expensive L body) so I'll drive it on the initial 'shake down' 600 mile trip from Monroe WI to SDAC, then after a few days of beating on it, Ill have someone responsible (and at least 76" tall) drive it to Cali for me It'll be fun to have my own car at SDAC again

I'll roll with the group whenever you guys are heading out. Has the WI crew made a tentative departure plan?

Color sanding, buffing, more coats of clear over the base red. Lather rinse repeat. I think the cell phone pics don't do these pieces justice, pics get compressed when sending and lose resolution. It would be bad to put a hex on the project now by saying something stupid like it's way ahead of schedule but it is.
