Question 03 Dakota 4.7 with engine knock

I bought a 03 Dakota king cab needing only break lines and possible motor. The top end by cylinder 2 knocks or a loud tick. Was told it is the wrist pin. But reading on here heated if you disconnect fire and fuel to that cylinder the knock will go away. Sometime the knock will stop when the motor is warm. But if you push the gas comes right back. The tick (knock) stays steady most of the time but when you push the gas doubles up on the ideal back down. Also the truck starts hard and if you hit the gas right off it will stall. Does anyone have any ideas to help me out.

Timing chain tensioners on the 4.7's are problematic and can make a racket. Check YouTube to hear what the noise sounds like.
