I never run the jack shafts anymore. After snapping two of them, one of them shearing the tube/shaft itself, I saw the light and never looked back.

Since that day at Cecil that i broke my Spirit, it has used unequals, Mini's new (during the restoration) RockAuto axles are unequal, and Slug uses unequal...
    See a pattern??
Although, without a doubt the autos are easier loading on the axles which get a more constant application of torque.

And think of the fun you'll have next year. More boost, and 12's are there. That's already some very good launching with those 1.8's!

In all the passes I made in neons which is a ton I never broke a axle.I plan on keeping that streak going.i think the new van will be the 12 sec van.We will gut it to a inch of its life.I think with some tuning on the current cal in the brown one and the new shifter it will go mid 13's without changing anything else.It really needs more turbo and intercooler.

I swapped away from the unequal length axles several years ago in my Shadow and my SC.

Jon's safe...the 525 will blow up long before he pops the intermediate shaft.

That's the 525 all the way to the right of the bell curve. It's indestructible.
