Is there an after-market replacement for the engine management systems for this car, something that might even be "tune-able"?

Send your computer to Rob Lloyd at BoostButton.com for socketing or a flash module, then use MP Tune. All the tuneability of a standalone without having to rewire.
Just went to Boost Button website. Serious stuff! Thanks for the tip. I now have some reading to do...
Whats the name of that special Turbo management system system that can reduce timing in individual cylinders as needed...
That's the one I would get.
Thanks
Randy
There is no logical reason to call an Engine a motor.

Here is what I have and what I'm considering getting for my Shelby Lancer.
This is the Ostrich 2.0, which is compatible with MoparTune and MoparScan, tested both. http://www.moates.net/ostrich-20-the....html?cPath=95
This is the Bluetooth adapter that can be soldered onto the chip. Bought this and now I can flash my LM as long as the car is on and within range. And this adapter is nice because the older versions of the BT adapter were always on, so the battery could run down just with the car sitting there. This one is only powered on when the vehicle is in the On position.

I will tell you that when ordering the BT adapter, you will need to request one pinned for the Ostrich. Ordering 10 or more will get you a discount of about 15%? I'm looking to get one and if you get 8 other people to commit, I'll be 9 and you can be 10. We did a group buy about 5-6 years ago, maybe? It worked out ok. They took the money directly and shipped individually to whoever paid. Worth considering if you're interested, but regardless this is another option that allows for tuning for the beginner for a very low intro cost.
Megasquirt is probably the next step up, but you're talking $800-1000 minimum to start and that is probably underpricing it. But it's a very nicely priced system for what it can do.
