318 car with factory a/c, sway bar, disc brakes, cruise control, rear defrost, am/fm radio, deluxe interior and fuel saver light. I have never seen a Dart or A-body with so many options before. Car does not have a straight panel on it aside from the hood and trunklid. Was from Long Island. The spool mount k-member and disc brakes are going on the '67 Dart and the swaybar is going on the Duster. I have an aftermarket large diameter hollow swaybar going into the Dart.
A friend of mine is getting the motor and trans to do a transplant on his '65 Barracuda and we are going to save as much as we can from the rest including the front clip and rear frame rails. Stuff isn't growing on trees 'no more.

Lol, remember the Hot Rod Magazine article where they stated with a great big motor Caddy full of stuff and took like 300lbs off each pass? Eventually they had it cut down to the pan and drivetrain with a single hoop. I think it went from 21 second times to low 13's

I remember that Hot Rod project with the Caddy. I still have my old Hot Rod magazines dated way back to 1965.

Never really liked the Wagon wheels, I think I borrowed them from Gus with some old Hoosiers he had mounted up.
The drive train in the car at the time was from my low 13 second Daytona Turbo Z that got wrecked on the highway. It was a 2.2 with ported g-head with mild oversize valves, one piece intake with 52 mm throttle body, ported exhaust manifold, Super 60 cam, converted Turbo I-> Turbo II turbo, GLHS electronics, 5th injector, stock intercooler and a 520 transaxle. The drive train was good enough to push my 3100 lb Turbo Z to a street tire pass of 13.3 at 108 mph.

A funny story related to the club video above;
My room mate at the time Chris Pero was manning the cam-corder during our trip to the track just so you know who was doing the running commentary. On the first run I raced a Formula 350 Firebird in the right lane (car had big FORMULA 350 decals on the doors) and he jumped me out the hole but I was unable to catch up by the end of the track. So.. by the end of the night I was whittling the short time down and but was still running a string of mid to low 14's. For the last pass I picked up Chris while going through the pits and at the top of staging he went to get out and the track official said that Chris could be on board since he thought I was running slower than 14.0.
As fate would have it we were lined up against the Formula 350 again.
When the lights came down the Firebird jumped out of the hole and we were off... my launch was a little better with some extra weight on the right front and 3/4 track had reeled the Firebird in. I happened to look over at the Firebird at this point as we were passing and noted my smart alack passenger was making shrugging shoulder motions with a WTF look on his face to the other driver while the guy was beating his steering wheel with his fist as we passed him on the top end to take the win.
Had to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen while racing at the track.
Timeslips state the date was 4-23-97
In no order the car ran 15.2 @ 97 mph, 14.7 @ 97 mph, 14.5 @ 98 mph, 15.0 @ 98 mph, 14.9 @ 99 mph, 15.1 @ 99 mph, 15.1 @ 99 mph, 14.7 @ 97 mph, 14.6 @ 99 mph. 2 of the time slips are so faded I can't make out any details.
Best short time was a 2.48

What ever happened to those lightweight Bogart wheels Gus had?
I do not have Gus' bogarts. He sold them at some point after he messed up his ankle and had decided he would go after street tire records.
The owner of them is on here, but i'd have to scour through old PM's to find the username. I can't remember.
I did buy myself some Bogarts, and should have ordered them like Gus had, but opted for the round holes that make them look similar to pizza wheels. I thought that would make them lighter.
