I have 245/40/17 on a 17x8 with a +35 offset on my R/T. I know there is some difference in the undercarriage but I think the end locations are similar. I only get minor rubbing on a partial turn on the back of the front wheel opening. HTH

Any advice on Nexen tires?

I see that Tire Rack has the Goodyear Eagle F1 on sale, but at the above price, and look, I'm tempted to get these. These are going on my Dad's Shelby Z, tire wear is no issue, they will surely dry rot before they wear out.

Mike is there a URL for that tire/wheel sizing program you are using??
I'll look but I may have to roll it out and take some.
I use this one: http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html
Here you go.

I'm also running a 245/40/17 BFG KDW tire on a 17x8 +35mm offset, 91 Daytona FYI
Will rub ever so slightly on full lock

I've had 245/40/17 on 17x8 + 35 on my Dynasty for the past... 9 years! :0
I also have 245/40/18s on 18x8 on two other cars. 245/40 and 8" wheels are a perfect match.
Ive never tried any of it on a daytona. I know it doesn't work on my Aries or Spirit due to differences in the fenderwells. The dynasty has big (1"+) flares from the factory.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
I have a 17x7 wheel, 35mm offset on my Shelby Lancer with 215/45 and they fit perfectly. Hope this is of some help to somebody someday.
goodyear f1's .. ?
do some homework , I believe there's a couple of versions of the f1's and they're temperature sensitive , meaning no grip whenm it BEGINS to get cool out .. and none when it is really genuinely cold out
a buddy has them on a 12 shelby , granted it's 500 +_+ hp but the tires start getting suckie at 50*
I had Goodyear Eagle F1 tires on my Caliber SRT-4 (OEM). They were the "Supercar" version though, which I'm not sure are made any more. I really liked them and got over 42k miles out of them.

225/50/16 on RPF1's, 35mm offset on my '88 Shelby Z has a SLIGHT inner wheel well lip issue in the back on both sides (yes, the axle is centered). The fronts clear everything except full lock they will *slightly* rub either the splash liner or the very lower back part of the well.
I can totally attest to summer tires NOT working in "chilly" AT ALL!!
Finally upgraded my account to add pics!
with wider tires how much negative camber are you guys running? My 205's are close on stock crabs but then I have -1.5 degrees dialed into the front end.
Mike, thanks for the URL!
On my Shelby Z I have chamber plates, So I have the tech pull the strut all the way out (factory position), 0* camber the tire which gives good clearance to the strut, then use the plates to adjust to -1.5 for street, -2 for track if I feel like actually changing it because the toe must be changed as well.
Before I had the plates I couldn't get my pinky between the tire and the strut at -1.5.
In the rear it's no more than -1.
And that's what I'm thinking I'd have to do Reaper, and I assume that's the way you would do it as well being you. Just curious what the majority is doing. What width rim are you running?
I'd like a 245 but think I might stick to a 225.
Enkie RPF1 16x7, +35mm
Currently I have Kumho XS 225/50/16 tires on them (now mounted on the 8V TC! :P And they look MEAN!)
In all honesty I *wanted* to do 17x8, but in order to pull it off the way I wanted I needed camber plates, but they weren't installed yet. Plus there was some reason that you have to run 3mm spacers on one end of the car, plus roll the fenders. I might still have that conversation saved someplace, but it was between Chris Still and myself back around 2008. Now, I can only say that those things needed done to *my* setup to accomplish what I was after, so obviously it probably can be done other ways. I was going to run 245/45/17's IIRC.
