    adjusting throttle presure valve

    I need HELP!

I can not picture how the shop manuals explain how to adjust the valve in the valve body for the throttle pressure . I talks about a tool C-3763, Which is around a $100.00 , but I still don't understand how to adjust it properly .
I Am sure someone in here can explain it a simple way and without having to buy a $100.00 tool.
Thank You for your time and knowledge

    Re: adjusting throttle presure valve

I thought throttle pressure was adjusted from outside the transmission. As I recall, the cable itself has a lock that slides up
(use a small screwdriver) and that locks the cable at different lengths.

To adjust, I like to have the engine off, held at full throttle and push the linkage on the trans to the all the way (pulled) position, then lock it down and road test. If the upshifts are too late, lengthen the cable in tiny increments.

Yes your right but there is a way to adjust the valve in the valve body also, that's why Chrysler wants your to use tool #3763. I found a pic in my old 1968 Plymouth shop manual. Page 21-58. IT GOES between the Kick down Valve and Throttle Valve Cam (Throttle Lever).
It could be a reason some people are having shifting issues. there NOT ADJSTING THE KICKDOWN VALVE IN THEVALVE BODY. I ALMOST SCREW UP, I WAS GETTING READY TO BUTTON UP MY TRANS (A-413) and I was figuring out how to adjust the line pressure, I read a little further and the light came on.
There two (2) adjustments NOT ONE

    Re: adjusting throttle presure valve

I have never tried to adjust throttle pressure from within the transmission, I always found there was enough adjustment from the cable. Adjusting line pressure is another thing all together that must be done at the valve body.
