Looking for an L-Body auto trans mount....maybe 2.....thanx!
I believe there are two different styles, it changed around 1984.
Any pics of the type you need?
Thanks

That is a fact I was unaware of.....which is strange....lol I don't have the original but the car is an 1982.....
Going from memory, the early mount is the same as the passengers side engine mount, but up side down. That's the mount part, and it bolts to the bracket that bolts to the transmission case.
The later mount is not the same as the earlier one and has a matching bracket.
Where the mount attaches to the chassis is different so you need an early trans bracket they uses the mentioned passengers side engine mount inverted. Brackets are different between automatic and manual.
Anyone listening feel free to correct me if I have any of this wrong as I'm going from memory.
Hopefully Todd or someone has some pictures.
Good Luck!!
Thanks
Randy

That is what I am afraid of since the passenger side was altered as well. I have been searching the internet for images of stock mounts to compare to see if something looks like what I have with not much luck.....My goal was to use the factory trans mounts as a starting point for centering the engine in the chassis.....I guess my job just got harder...lol
I cant see the picture either.
Harry, are you saying the chassis is the same between early and late, just the mount and trans bracket are different??
I "thought" there was a difference where the mount attached to the chassis (frame) but that's from memory.
Someone posted trans mount/bracket pictures a while back but I forget who Todd maybe ???
Thanks
Randy

Pictures are here.
I used a long 1/4 socket as a spacer to take up the space between the mount insert metal sleeve and the mounting bolt. I don't know if the chassis is the same, since I never had an early 1.7 and late 2.2 side by side.
