Car has been sitting a few months since maybe june. It ran last time i started it with help from a jump box because the battery was pretty weak. Went outside to start it yesterday with a fresh battery and ive got a no start condition. With key turned to on position the Tach jumps all over, no check engine lamp light showing at all and no fump pump prime. Motor turns strong but its thats all. Any help appreciated.
Sounds like it needs a new ASD relay.
I probly have one laying around, i have to shake some wires around and also try the other sbec i have and see. Could have gone bad, who knows. The check light i think blinks even when the asd is bad.
Also check the fuse links. If your car has the PDC, it might just be a blown maxi-fuse. Sometimes it can be hard to find a blown fuse link. A lot of times they blow out with a small smoke show; other times they just barely blow and you have to do a 'tug test' to find the one that feels like a rubber band. Also check the connections to the cam and crank position sensors. A friend of mine had a Spirit R/T that would randomly shut off and start back up and we found the screw holding the cam sensor got loose.
how are fuses in pdc?
Ended up being a sbec that ---- the bed, runs on the stock one, won't start on the socketed one it ran on for years
