All Shelby did for the tank was have the original molded without the return tube on the side, it looks like the original mold was modified. You can even see the course markings of the file on the tank.

Not much usefulness but this morning I found the coolant bottle from an 85 B250 Van I parted out and its got what appears to be the original chrysler green cap on it that has the hose attachment like your pictures.

The parts manual lists 2 part numbers for the coolant reserve tank cap for 1987. The general number is 4266 968, but there is also a listing for P body & Shelby 4467 482.

Barry- Yes I have the part number for the Shelby cap, no luck locating one.

The green cap I have here shows a part number 4140108 that marty @ AZ-P shows crossing to the shelby part number 4467482. He lists two in stock for $8.00/each.

It doesn't need to be tight, so long there is a hose that goes to the bottom of the bottle, you're good to go.

The stock overflow cap on my CSX is loose like that, the overflow hose is a bit long and that puts some pressure on the cap that makes it appear to latch on when sitting, but everytime I open my hood it has popped loose.
