That 615.00 is pounds sterling, 615.00 Euro is around $706 US.
1994 Shadow Sedan. 2.2 N/A, A568 400,000 miles. "the science experiment"
1987 Shelby CSX #418. Long term rebuild and restore ?
Ahhh, thanks guys.
still weird something is cheaper in Europe though
Not cheaper. The Euro is worth more than the dollar. Hong Kong dollars are worth two US dollars.
I had a customer that was thrilled when she called me and told me she could buy brand new Boesendoefer piano for half the US price. I let her down gently explaining it was the same cost, just a different dollar.
It's $953 US though, I cant get a quiaffe for that. Even with $200 shipping it's still cheaper.
$1113.95 on our website
That's about the best we can do after the middle man mark up and exorbitant shipping fees. Other vendors sell these for $1495.00.

They don't seem to list the USA as a shipping option?
From what I was told the USA distributor is the only one contracted to sell these here. Unless their contract rules changed which I have not heard anything about.
BTW- The 615 is British Pounds which is a different exchange rate then Euros.

Chris, a local friend tuned me into that website after buying one from you. He seemed to think he didn't get a good deal. But it seems he did as far as I have been able to determine. I would buy one from you if/when I'm in the market.
google says it's 949.50 US dollars. If you could get it shipped here and depending on the cost to do that you might save a few.
Add £121.84 for shipping for a 8kg package from Fedex from UK to US.
=$1137
Chris have his at $1,113.95
So, go thru all the motion to break even...
for whatever it's worth that price has gotten better ( I think ) since I bought mine a year and a half ago
not to sound like I'm complaining , I'm not - buying cindy's trans last year , the quaffie shortly before and a sort throw shifter + the screaming deal I got scoopin a new set of shifter cables for 65 bucks kinda ballances everything out
hell I still need to buy a clutch , light flywheel and axles - that will mean more into the drivetrain than a lot of us spend on the entire car
and of course then there's Lengal's nice new yummy end plates - I need one ah dem to eh ...
Exchange rate fluctuations are beyond everyone's control. We do try to stay on top of things so when it's working in our favor we can offer them at a better price to the community. Our website price reflects Quaife's MSRP in British Pounds converted to US dollars. We absorb shipping charges to our supplier in Europe from Quaife, exchange rate fees from British Pounds to Euros and then Euros to US Dollars. Yes, EVERY time money is exchanged to a different currency there is a fee associated with it. As well as wiring funds overseas which is $45. We do charge $50. additional for shipping direct to our customers from our European distributor. In the end we don't make very much as we also share any profit with our European connection.
Jeremy, your friend has to understand timing is everything. He may have paid more but the strength of the US dollar may have been different and that can have the greatest impact on the end user's price.
