Already have a spare plate from Asa sitting in a box. That was a winning purchase. Can I get the plate back?
Kinda want a third but not sure what for. Hoarding? Wish I bought more shifter plate pads
Price is easier to swallow then I figured. One Is for someone else.

Any alternatives to sending plates? I already have one request to help supply plates and I think I might get one more request. Don't really want ti tear down that many transmissions. I don't date transmissions for a week like JT or have people around who have them.

Yes the stock aluminum plate would be sent back with the new CM plate.

I didnt really look into any alternative. I'll see if I can get a part # and check with a dealer on there availability. If some doesn't have a stock plate to send in, I can just send the CM plate out and the buyer can remove and install the bushings when they install the new CM plate.

On this note, it's part of the reason I haven't put my name on the list as I don't have immediate access to a plate to send you. I am perfectly capable of installing bushings, etc. As long as the machining is finished, installing bushings or the oiling trough, etc is easy.

Re: A568 & 523 CNC machined 4140 bearing support plates

Yes the bushing install every easily. The only thing you will need to do after installing the bushing is pean the metal over on the one side of the hole, so the bushing can't push out. I just used a center punch for this.
You still will need to send me the thin steel backing plate. If Anyone needs one of these Jackson said he has a stack of them. So I would contact him if you need one.

Yeah that should work, but I'm not going to suggest it just because I have not tried it.

The green Loctite (I think that's what's being referred to here) is the shiznizzle! It's used for cylinder liners on diesels too if I'm not mistaken.

There are multiple flavors of bearing mount compound but yes generically 'that stuff' is what I'm referring to. I have used it a few times and become a believer in its capabilities.

Time for us to go hunting? Not sure what you want to run in the end or if you will be sitting on the plate. If you sit on it, its not gonna go bad.

I'm still a 3.0 guy, remember! Gotta find a way to make the A543 live! Though I don't plan to punish it as much as the A555

Nice work! With this now, I'm glad I haven't yet put in the shift fork pads and quaife yet. Go ahead and put me down for one! I'll put it on the card if I have to.

Re: A568 & 523 CNC machined 4140 bearing support plates

So we just need to supply a support plate with sleeves and a the steel backing plate. We can install our own oil thingamabob etc.

Where are we shipping this to? PM only?
I am VERY distracted right now and I am going to forget.

Yes just the two plates will need to be sent to me at the time of deposits. You can tap out the oil feeder with a hammer to make shipping of the plates easier. Then you can simply tap it back into the new plate. The new steel plate has a locating notch just like the stock plate so there is no chance orientation issues when installing the oil feeder.

I looked through again and you won't be doing payment until the first two weeks of December. When should items we are shipping you arrive? Have to see if I can get some of them from Canada or tear up one of mine.

You can send them to me whenever you want. As long as I have them all by 1/1/16 I will put my shipping address in the first post.
