    A568 & 523 CNC machined 4140 bearing support plates

Ok guys I need a show of hands of who wants one. I will need a minimum of 10 plate sold to get this going. These plates will be fully CNC machined and made of 4140 chromoly steel, and will replace the stock cast aluminum bearing plate. JT and myself have been running the prototypes for the past year. I only have half a dozen passes on my car since the plate was installed, and JT has 20+ passes, and about 1500 + miles on his. I had my trans apart twice over the past year with no issues with this plate. JT didn't get a chance to take his apart yet, but will be after the season is over, and before we start making these. The buyer will need to provide the stock aluminum support plate, so i can remove the shift rod bushing, and install them in the steel plate. buyer will also need to provide a stock steel backing plate (the thin steel plate that is bolted to the aluminum support plate). I will be modifying this by adding two bolt holes and removing the portion over the input shaft all on the CNC. The price is $375.00 + shipping To make things easy on myself, shipping will be a $13 USPS flat rate box, Payment will be made through paypal or a money order. When paying through paypal If you choose NOT to gift the payment you will need to add 3% to your total. I will need a $200 deposit from everybody on the list before any stock is ordered, and the balance will be due upon completion. I think doing a list like in other group buys worked the best. Only put your name on the list if are 100% sure you will be buying one. list info should be your TM screen name, and your actual name.

    My shipping address is

I really don't know. I know I was seeing sings of mine flexing a lot. JT was cracking them. I also think these will help the bearing race from walking off the main shaft, and that can happen on lower hp cars.

I agree that it could help reduce the bearing race walk-off issue. I've cracked 4 stock plates. You can also see uneven contact from 4th gear showing the plate is flexing.

Just for absolute clarification you are referring to the 4 Teflon/bronze bushings that the shifting rods ride on, those are being pressed out of the old plate and reinstalled into the new one ?

JT, on the new plate, are you showing use of the replacement or is this pre-installation? Just wondering how the wear is on it after use and that pic looks like new.

First two pics are of one of the damaged stock aluminum plates and the next pics are of the new CM plate installation. I have not removed it yet for review. I did put 3 more passes on it last night tho.
