    Logic Module 2,2l Turbo

    Hello there,

I'm new to this forum and I need help. I have a 1986 Chrysler Executive Limousine and it doesn't run. No ignition. I have already build in a new ignition coil, Hall sensor and ECU. But still nothing. I'm afraid it's the Logic Module. The sticker on my old module says partnumber 522 72 59. And this is now my problem. I can't find it anywhere. Neither at Rockauto nor at Arizonaparts. So my question is if there is someone who can tell me if I can use a different LM with a different partnumber on a 2,2 liter turbo engine?

    Regards

    Tom

I think just any 86 Turbo 1 with a Auto tranny should work.

You said you changed the ECU? The one in the car, or under the hood?

Make sure you don't have an 85 module, it won't run with an 86 distributor.

    1) Stupid question one- Did you hear it run before? What changed?

    2) Stupid question two- Have you verified the distributor is turning during cranking? I have seen ones with bad timing belts and people were not aware of it as they threw lots of ignition parts at it..

@CRUZER this would be fantastic if any module would work. You asked for the ECU. I've changed the one under the hood. It's the only one I know of. Is there a second ECU hidden in the car?
@Gary So you say as well any 86 module should work?
First legitimate question- You mean the engine? I drove the car over one year untill last new years eve when I brought the car parking garage for safety reasons. When I drove up the levels I cornered sharply with full steering angle and the engine went off and never ran again since then.
Second legitimate question :-) - I'm pretty sure the distributor is turning. And as far as I know the timing belt is okay. But I will ask my mechanic to be sure.

    Regards Tom

    1) One under the hood is a power module. The logic module is in the passenger kick panel.

One under the hood is the brawn, the one in the car the brain.

    2) Never assume. Verify. The car was running but abruptly died which could be any number of things.

Always the basics first. Does it have compression and is the distributor turning.

P.S. you can always plug in the distributor and spin it by hand as a test to see.

Oil pump gear failures are not uncommon of these cars and if it goes the distributor doesn't turn.

The logic Mod has the black map sensor screwed in to it.
