I'm not sure on the cal number, I would say continue with what you have and hopefully that will work.

ok - i'll probably send you a "test" version to try to see if it works before releasing a public version. pm your email address so i can get you something this week. if you have a hex editor you can look at the first several bytes of the bin which should be the number of the cal. or, better yet, send me your bin and i can test it!!

as far as? i released a newer version of mpscan a week or so ago. again, without knowing how your binary cal is setup it's almost impossible to know if mpscan will work or not. just have to try it.

I took a very short log file tonight at idle, tomorrow I am heading out to the shop and I'll get you one of the car properly running and driving.

the ADV says 41.5 sounds a bit off as the DRB says 18

I'll get you the com port files tomorrow as I dont have the laptop at my girlfriends place...I managed to upload the csv file earlier

    Re: mpscan trouble shooting

on the scan logs send me the actual .mpl file, not the exported csv file. it looks to me like some of the ram addresses may not be correct.

also, before you do another log make sure you download the latest versions of the setup files (i.e. settings / layout files / update...). then delete the advance gauge and readd it. also may want to do the same with the batv gauge.

thanks for posting up the logs. couple comments/questions.

-it doesn't appear the afr is working properly! makes me wonder if it is picking up the correct address.
-what do you have in for a thermostat? the coolant gauge never got above 160. does this seem right to you?
-can the advance really be at 46+ degrees? seems like it is jumping around quite a bit. bad address again?
-i'm surprised the logging speed is so slow. when i was testing it i was getting alot faster responses. calculates out to a speed of only 33mS per byte! weird.

i am glad to see the data seems quite stable. i sure would like to get my hands on your bin file so i could test it. do you have a drb2/otc scanner available to verify the data?

do you have a log from the sbec t1? did you use the same profile or did you create a new profile?

We do have a DRB2 and now that I think of it, you are correct, timing is off by quite a bit. What made it seem like it was working is the RPM was finally showing correctly. (before it was showing 1400 at idle)

So maybe a few things to straighten out.

Interestingly enough, the 92 Spirit that we tried it on did the same thing Nicks was doing before. (IMS) it was showing 1400RPM at idle.

    - - - Updated - - -

Nicks Daytona is running a modded 180 T-stat.

Was also wondering, the timing values, are they including the base (12 deg) in that #, or is it supposed to be timing value that is added to base?
