Is anyone going to this event?
I entered the turbo van for fun, though it probably will lose to everything.

How much were the tickets? Sold out so I can't see.
Seems like something fun to add to the list for next year. Does look like you will get whooped by everyone in a full 1/2 mile. If I brought my one current turbo vehicle I might beat you due to aerobrick and thats it lol.
I saw the Sedan class and thought that looked cool, then I looked at the car list and I won't ever even be close.
Interesting how English racing has a huge reservation with no cars listed...like, bring whichever customers show up. Also seems like you could have claimed "turbo-mopar.com" or something as your "shop" or anything else you wanted to put there. Make it more interesting.

I will want to look into this as well...
If you scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page, it says spectator tickets are $30 for both days.
Jeff, looking at the entrants list, I think half of the competitors have more money wrapped up in their tires, than you probably do in your entire van!!!
That's not a bad thing... just sayin'.. Good luck, go show them what TM's are all about!!! Let us know how you do.
Speaking of aero brick, I wonder how a moderately powered streamliner would do in a 1/2 mile.. That might be fun to build and run something like that. Maybe better to save something like that for a full mile though.

That is correct, the van was out of commission.
An intake rocker arm popped off the day before the event and the van poured out blue smoke (I thought it was a cracked piston).
I made a thread to try and figure out how to fix it:

It was $250 for one day of racing. You could race and hop right back in line if you want to, meaning you could make a lot of passes.
now this is something i would like to try
