I just dropped $1200 on a water heater. Wish I could have done that myself. Broke as a joke now.

I saved easy $10,000 doing the furnace replacement myself with the help of my brother-in-law who is an HVAC tech.
Figure the price of two HVAC techs, (48 hours labor) cost of the fittings, boiler and stack. The furnace I got a killer deal on from my sister who works at a distributor, a $2000 savings right there. Fittings and pipe alone ran $600. One contractor wanted to charge me almost $1000 PER FOOT for insulated stack pipe in the quote.
----- please, I'll do it myself.
I wish I know how other people do it, the stuff is hellish expensive.
Was just crunching numbers for the boss over repairs I do "in house" at work rather than handing off to vendors. Since the beginning of the year $8000+ savings on labor and figure I save 50-100% savings on parts. Not blockbuster numbers I guess but beats throwing $10,000+ a year out a window.

The prospect of getting a 150 pound water heater up attic stairs by myself with a bad back does not afford me the luxury of holding onto my $1100. Even those two twenty year olds had a hard time getting it up there.
Just a reminder- I'll be at Cecil Fri/Sat so if you want me to bring something down send me a PM

Gary, do you happen to have any good condition front motor mount brakets lying around? There's a local kid who needs one and the only one I have as a spare has a crack below the top trans bell housing bolt hole. That seems pretty common though.
I might, I'll look tomorrow

Are you looking for a complete TII setup air cleaner to throttle body? hoses, air cleaner, intercooler/rad? Shipping to NV isn't going to be cheap.
