Shelby Lancer questions

Sales brochure says this:

Pioneer DEX-77 Has 10 speakers

I only find six

Says it has dual muffler tips

I only have one

Says it has a 135 mph speedo

Mine has 125

Is it possible they wrote the "book" before they ever produced a car?

I'm not complaining.....just wanna know

Any info would be appreciated

I know there are discrepancies with almost all of the brochures.

6 main speakers spots, some are 2 way speakers which accounts for the 10 total. Mine has dual tips out the muffler, same with every other one I've seen, maybe your muffler got changed at some point. 125MPH speedo in the ones I've seen. Just the standard gauge cluster in them all AFAIK

On the lift the exhaust looks factory. It's a bit confusing.

The automatic tranny may have something to do with which muffler they used.

Mine has the duel tip exhaust. It is a manual car.
Six speaker locations, doors and rears are two-ways for "ten" speakers.
I believe my speedo is 125 mph and is standard Lancer ES, but I'll have to double check that next time I'm out in the garage. I never noticed this discrepancy in the brochure before, good catch!

Thats a replacement muffler and pipe.

I have a set of tips I cut off a car. Probably not the same diameter. The dual tips are a dummy. One is not open. This is the original on the car. Heck, I have the whole muffler you can have for shipping. I went 3".

Thanks for the offer, I think I'll run what I have until it wears out.
I am going to contact the orig. owner and see if he had it replaced for some reason.

The recess in the body seam you see above your exhaust is to accommodate the dual tip I believe.
Your exhaust doesn't line up very well with it.

Definitely not original. Dynomax had a mandrel bent kit they sold through MP or DC way back in the day. The factory inlet was like 1-7/8". Yours looks to be at least 2-1/4". Original would be nice, but you would take a performance hit for sure. Looks like a nice vehicle Tony!

Just measured...2-1/2" from turbo to cat
2" from cat to muffler tip

Got the muffler answer today. When the guy I bought it from got it from the second
owner the muffler had been cut off. I guess the second owner wanted a different sound.

The guy I bought it from had a new one welded on.

Still trying to locate the two window stickers for it. They were given to the second owner.
Haven't been able to contact him yet...he is from here in Columbus also.
